Beverage Specialty Flavours — Cola, Coffee, Tea, Cocktail

Cola, coffee, tea, energy drink, cocktail and signature beverage profiles — water-soluble, emulsion-based and acid-stable flavour systems engineered for Canadian beverage brands across CSDs, RTDs, alcoholic and non-alcoholic applications.

Specialty profiles

Cola (classic, citrus-forward, spiced, zero-sugar versions), root beer, ginger ale, cream soda, coffee (espresso, mocha, latte, cold brew), tea (black, green, matcha, chai, earl grey), cocktail signatures (mojito, margarita, piña colada, gin tonic, spritz), wine and beer notes for non-alcoholic adult beverages.

Built water-soluble or emulsion-based depending on the matrix — clear sparkling water needs drop-clear stable systems; cream sodas and cold brew need full-bodied, dairy-character notes that survive UHT.

Profile range across Canadian beverage categories

Our beverage specialties library serves soft drinks, sparkling waters, energy drinks, RTD coffee, RTD tea, kombucha, plant milks, sports drinks, functional shots, alcoholic RTDs and non-alcoholic spirits. Profiles include cola, root beer, ginger ale, cream soda, iced tea, iced coffee, lemonade, mojito, margarita, piña colada, hard seltzer signature blends and category-defining brand matches.

Each is built water-soluble or emulsion-based depending on the matrix and validated for stability in the relevant pH and CO2 window.

Sweetener systems and zero-sugar tuning

Most Canadian beverage briefs now include a zero-sugar SKU alongside the regular. Our profile architectures are built to perform across full-sugar, mid-calorie and zero-sugar versions using a combination of sweetness modulators, bitterness blockers and mouthfeel agents. Stevia Reb M, monk fruit, erythritol and allulose all have dedicated masking systems available.

Hard tea, hard coffee and RTD cocktail flavour systems

The RTD-alcohol shelf is one of the fastest-growing Canadian beverage segments. Hard tea, hard coffee, hard kombucha and cocktail RTDs each need flavour systems tuned for ethanol carry-over (which amplifies harsh and astringent notes), low pH and extended shelf-life. We supply alcohol-tolerant beverage flavours validated 4–8 % ABV across these formats.

Cocktail RTDs: margarita, mojito, paloma, espresso martini, gin & tonic, spritz — botanical-led profiles built from our specialty range.

Functional beverages — gut health, hydration, focus, sleep

Specialty functional beverages — prebiotic sodas, electrolyte hydration, nootropic shots, sleep tonics — each carry challenging functional matrices (high fibre, salt, magnesium, melatonin, GABA, L-theanine). We supply flavour and masking systems engineered for those matrices so the functional ingredient delivers without the off-note penalty.

We also supply low- and no-sugar systems compliant with the Canadian Front-of-Pack thresholds for the most common functional formats.

Frequently asked questions

Are natural-claim versions available?

Discuss natural flavour options for the application. Confirm source and processing information for the selected profile and have your regulatory reviewer assess the finished product's declaration under Canadian rules.

Evaluate the flavour in your product

A flavour description is a starting point, not evidence of performance in your recipe. Use a documented trial to decide whether a candidate fits.

  1. 1. Define the base and challenge

Share the product base, processing conditions, target taste and benchmark. Identify the issue: bitterness, aroma loss, an unwanted note or a new flavour direction.

  2. 2. Agree on the trial

Ask technical support to confirm the selected flavour’s dosage, carrier and handling requirements. Compare candidates in the same recipe and process, including an unflavoured control where useful.

  3. 3. Record the decision

Evaluate aroma, taste, aftertaste and appearance after processing and during your intended storage conditions. Record the formula, dose and observations against your agreed acceptance criteria before scale-up.

Confirm the documents for your selected flavour

Tell us which specification, allergen statement, safety data sheet, certificate of analysis or certification evidence your quality team needs. Availability and certification scope must be confirmed for the specific reference; an ingredient document does not establish compliance of your finished product.
