Mint & Menthol Flavours for Canadian Brands

Peppermint, spearmint, wintergreen and menthol profiles for Canadian confectionery, chewing gum, oral care, beverage, dairy and vape applications.

Mint profiles and cooling agents

Beyond classic mint oils we supply cooling agent systems (WS-3, WS-23, menthyl lactate) to dial in the freshness intensity. From gentle dairy mint for chocolate-mint ice cream up to intense long-cooling for gum and oral care.

Profile range and applications

Our mint and menthol library covers spearmint, peppermint, wintergreen, eucalyptus-mint, mojito mint, mint chocolate chip and koolada-style cooling systems. Each is supplied water- or oil-soluble depending on the matrix and tuned for the target cooling intensity, from a soft fresh lift in toothpaste-style applications to a sharp icy hit for chewing gum and vape e-liquid.

We use both natural mint oils (Mentha arvensis, Mentha piperita) and synthetic l-menthol and WS-23/WS-3 cooling agents depending on the regulatory and cost target.

Cooling chemistry and intensity control

Cooling sensation is a separate axis from mint character. We layer cooling agents underneath the mint profile so the perceived freshness can be dialed up or down without changing the aromatic signature. This is critical for chewing gum (long burn time), confectionery, vape e-liquid and oral care, where end-users have very specific cooling expectations.

All cooling agents we use are food-grade, supplied with full CAS and regulatory documentation.

Profiling axes: cooling type, sweetness and herbal lift

Mint and menthol systems can be tuned along three independent axes: cooling type (immediate vs long-lasting, with WS-3, WS-23 or natural menthol blends), sweetness (sweet spearmint vs dry peppermint), and herbal lift (basil, eucalyptus, rosemary or wintergreen accents). We profile briefs on those three axes and return three-iteration kits so the sensory team can triangulate without re-briefing.

Cooling-agent dosing is documented per Health Canada acceptable-use levels, with regulatory notes for gum, confectionery, beverage and oral-care applications.

Sugar-free and natural mint for clean-label confectionery

Sugar-free gum, mints and lozenges depend almost entirely on mint flavour to carry the eating experience. Our natural mint systems are tested with xylitol, sorbitol, isomalt and erythritol bases for sweetness curve and cooling delivery, and we adjust top-note loading so the first chew matches reference even in zero-sugar formats.

Natural-only mint systems compliant with clean-label and child-oriented Canadian briefs are stocked alongside conventional variants.
